History and aims:

The "PRO OPERA" Society has been constituted as a non-profit society on June 30, 2006 and is an initiative of Bardeau Holding s.r.l, Helvetica Trading, Continental Automotive Romania s.r.l and Mattig Audit Swiss Partners s.r.l.

The scope of the Society is the materially and ideally furthering and promoting of the Opera of Timisoara by supporting and enhancing the Music Theater. The Opera shall increasingly be promoted among the public as the cristallizing point of the cultural life and publicized far beyond Timisoara and Romania. Particularly sought as members are representatives of the economic sector aiming to strenghten the position of the district of Timis and the Banat region with a partnership approach between culture and economy. But invited to join the Society are also private individuals who are interested into cultural life.

The Society shall become a platform for the mediation and the promotion of relationships between backstage people, people in front of and on the stage. The promotion of the artistical offsprings, who shall in future considerably determinate the quality and the performance of the Music Theater, is one of the greatest concerns of the Society.
